As Astronomer CEO Sparks Controversy with HR Chief at Coldplay Concert, Internet Turns Attention to Another Woman in the Viral Clip
A video captured during Coldplay’s July 16 concert in Boston is going viral for revealing a surprising moment: Andy Byron, CEO of the $1 billion tech startup Astronomer, was seen affectionately embracing a female colleague—reportedly Head of HR, Kristin Cabot—during the event.

But while the clip has stirred debate over potential misconduct, viewers are now turning their attention to someone else caught in the frame: a third woman who appears to react in shock as the moment unfolds on the stadium’s big screen.
As the band’s frontman Chris Martin joked ambiguously during the “Kiss Cam” segment, the camera zoomed in on Byron and Cabot. While Cabot hastily covered her face and Byron ducked his head to avoid the spotlight, the woman standing next to them was seen laughing in apparent disbelief.
Social media users quickly identified her as Alyssa Stoddard, an employee at Astronomer who, according to posts on LinkedIn, has worked closely with Cabot across multiple companies.
A LinkedIn post by Kristin Cabot had previously praised Alyssa during her promotion to Deputy Director of HR, calling her a longtime collaborator across four different companies and commending her “empathy, leadership, and unshakable integrity.”

Now, that post is fueling online speculation. Some users believe Alyssa may have known about the alleged relationship and possibly even accompanied the pair to the concert—raising uncomfortable questions about complicity and internal workplace dynamics.
“Anyone know a more toxic workplace?” one user asked bluntly.
“How does a married Head of HR flaunt a relationship with the also-married CEO at a public event—while being accompanied by someone she just promoted? This is disgusting,” another furious comment read on LinkedIn.
Astronomer has not yet issued any public response regarding the viral incident, but the scandal continues to generate intense scrutiny—not just of Byron and Cabot, but of the company’s culture as a whole.
