What is Big Mood season 2 about?
The new episodes pick up one year after Maggie and Eddie’s friendship breakup.
The synopsis reads: “Maggie is a year into her recovery from lithium poisoning, and doing very sensible, un-Maggie-like activities to keep herself ‘stable’ – something she’s desperate to be perceived as. But that hard-won stability is about to be seriously tested by Eddie re-entering her life.

Viewers have hailed the show as “fantastic”
“As someone who would do anything to avoid dealing with her own internal battles, Eddie has been attempting a healing journey of her own: she’s formed an intense friendship with Whitney, a spiritual influencer from California. Has she truly found inner peace? Is her head in the sand, or is it lodged firmly up a crystal healer?
“This series finds the comedy in Maggie and Eddie both living in denial, papering over the cracks in their fragile friendship.”
What are viewers saying about Big Mood season 2?

One person wrote on social media: “Watched S2, wow! Laughed, cried and itching to watch it all again. Eps 3 & 5 are my favourite with ep 6 then blowing me away. No one has ever tackled mental health like this show,” while another added: “I’m in awe of Camilla Whitehall’s writing. To be able to write a story that is packed with so many emotional gut punches yet have it be absolutely funny? Big brained behaviour. Need more!”
A third viewer hailed the show as “fantastic,” while another said the new season deserves to win a TV BAFTA.
Who stars in season 2?
Nicola and Lydia lead the cast as Maggie and Eddie.
They’re joined by This City is Ours star Hannah Onslow, Sherwood‘s Robert Lindsay, Bad Sisters actress Kelly Campbell, Bridgerton‘s Leo Wan and Slow Horses actor Zachary Hart.

Meanwhile, Rupert Everett guest stars as himself.
What has Nicola Coughlan said about the show?
Speaking at a Q&A held at London’s BFI ahead of season two, Nicola explained how Maggie and Eddie’s friendship is relatable.
“I think we all feel really imperfect and having to face up to those things is really hard because growing is uncomfortable,” the Irish actress told HELLO! and other press. “Having a really good friend is like a mirror to you.

“I think that’s a big thing is they’re looking at each other, going well we’re not quite where we want to be. But also Maggie is trying to edge back into the friendship.”
