Casey Donovan has officially embarked on an exciting journey into motherhood. The singer and local stage star has confirmed she has just completed her first embryo transfer with fiancee Renee Sharples.
The star took to social media to share a reel of the milestone moment.
“Today @renee.sharples and I did our first embryo transfer. I got the 6am flight back from Sydney to Melbourne and after a massive weekend of amazing shows in NSW it was great to be home into the loving arms of my love and put my legs up… literally,” she shared on Instagram.

She went on to thank the team of experts helping her along the way, hoping to share an even more exciting announcement in months to come.
“Now we wait… What will be will be,” she added. “Sending all of the love, light and baby dust to all who are on an IVF journey.”
The 37-year-old singer, who is currently in the middle of her 2026 national tour, This Is Me, first met her partner on the dating app Bumble in 2020. Restricted by COVID-19 lockdowns, the pair initially met up on virtual Zoom dates before eventually being able to meet in person.
In June 2024, they announced their engagement after Sharples proposed during a trip to Tasmania.

In November 2025, the former Australian Idol winner first opened up about wanting to start a family with news.com.au.
“We’ve spoken about it and Renee is now over 40, so she’s gone through and done her retrievals and whatnots,” she told us.
“And then I was like, well, I need to find some time to get mine out. This has always been an option, and now I’m just starting to action everything because I’m not getting any younger, as the doctors keep telling me.”

At the time, Donovan managed a lucky 28-egg retrieval and was back on stage performing the next day.
“I was on stage on Friday night after collecting 28 eggs on the Thursday, and going, ‘Oh, that’s a bit sore,’” she recalled.
“But that’s the thing. Life doesn’t slow down for women, or anyone in general.
“But when you’re trying to calculate IVF, drugs, injections, live music, writing, you just somehow managed to fit it in.”
