The holiday season is upon us, and some of TV news’s most beloved hosts are celebrating together, including ABC News anchor David Muir.

The 52-year-old World News Tonight host rarely gives his millions of fans an insight into his private life, but when the holiday season comes around, he does appear to treat fans to glimpses into his life away from the spotlight.

During the 2023 Thanksgiving period, David was spotted at a holiday party featuring anchors from both ABC and NBC, with photos shared on Instagram by his 20/20 co-anchor and close friend, Deborah Roberts.

Hosted by Deborah, 63, and her husband, Al Roker, 69, the party welcomed attendees from both ABC News and NBC News. His co-anchors, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb, were also spotted at the proceedings, smiling for a selfie with Deborah, Al, and David, who was dressed casually in a fitted black tee and dark jeans.

Last year, David celebrated the holiday with his family. Taking to his Instagram Stories, the ABC News icon shared a snap of his sibling setting the table for dinner. Rebecca dazzled in a black top as she arranged a bouquet of flowers for the centerpiece. “Happy Thanksgiving. My sister. Some flowers and a bunch of turkeys,” David captioned the photo. He also shared a snapshot of his beloved pet dog, Axel, captioning it, “I got some turkey too because I’m a good boy.”

David also shared some pics of Axel in 2021, posting a snapshot of himself embracing his dog in front of a forest backdrop. “A million reasons to be thankful – wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving (back to cooking)” followed, accompanied by a smiley emoji. The David and Axel content appears to be a running Thanksgiving tradition.

In 2020, David shared a smiley selfie featuring Axel, writing, “Post run, pre turkey w this turkey. There is so much to be thankful for – especially during this challenging time. Happy Thanksgiving.”

In 2018, David’s Thanksgiving post shared another theme of gratitude. Wearing his signature black t-shirt while enjoying a warm beverage, he asked, “Is there such a thing as a Thanksgiving extension? I’d be super thankful. (already am).”

Fans were quick to gush over the journalist’s good looks, with comments like, “You are so dang handsome,” and “You are absolutely amazing, thank u for what u do.”
