The Night Agent season three lands on Netflix soon with Gabriel Basso returning as Peter Sutherland

The Night Agent season three is arriving on Netflix shortly following a successful second series and it’s set to be “bigger and even better”. Lead star Gabriel Basso, who has starred in a number of thrillers, returns as Night Agent Peter Sutherland, carrying out his own stunts as the character embarks on his next assignment with numerous fresh faces joining the action.

Whilst the season three storyline remains closely guarded, the most recent teaser reveals Peter wrestling with his inner turmoil as he confronts a wave of terrorist incidents. Featuring high-octane car pursuits, looming dangers and influential figures blocking his path, Peter could potentially be encountering his most challenging operation to date.

Showrunner Shawn Ryan told Netflix’s Tudum: “We’re so excited to bring new thrills, new worlds, new stunts, new characters, and new adventures to our fans in season three. Thanks so much for devouring season two, and we look forward to bringing you a bigger and even better season three.” Here’s everything you need to know about the forthcoming third season.

Has a trailer been released for The Night Agent season 3?

An official trailer dropped at the end of January, showing Peter surveying a crowded football stadium for a possible target. Meanwhile, Aiden Mosley (Albert Jones) is depicted providing Peter with the specifics of his next task following a plane crash that was declared an act of terrorism.

He is shown cautioning reporter Isabel (Rodriguez) that there is “only a matter of time before the next attack”, and he solicits her assistance to determine who is orchestrating it all. This won’t be a straightforward mission as he confronts numerous other hurdles, including the enigmatic assassin known as The Father (Moyer).

Fans flocked to the YouTube comments to voice their opinions on the trailer, with many expressing their disappointment over Rose’s absence. @BatrinaCoarPearsall commented: “Peter and Rose’s trauma-bond is what makes this show so good.”

@sherlina added: “I feel like Rose and Peter’s bond and story were one of the main things setting this show different from other spy thrillers but now it seems like just any other spy themed show with action but not really a story to tell.” Viewers will have to bide their time to see what the new series offers without Rose at the heart of the action.
