Thriller fans have to watch a UK masterpiece that has been dubbed one of the best British movies ever and has an incredible score on Rotten Tomatoes. A Dead Man’s Shoes is a 2004 film written by Paul Fraser, Shane Meadows, who also directed the film, and Paddy Cosidine, who stars in the film alongside Gary Stretch and Toby Kebbell.
The revenage tragedy has been described as gritty, chilling and gripping, with those who have watched it saying it is an absolute must-see.
The synopsis on Rotten Tomatoes reads: “A soldier returns home to his small town and exacts a deadly revenge on the thugs who tormented his brother, who has a learning disability, while he was away. One by one the young hoodlums meet their fates as the soldier releases the hate he feels inside.”
While the film scored average with critics, viewers rated it highly and had many positive things to say, bringing the review website score to an impressive 91%.
One fan wrote: “I first saw this movie by accident when it was on late back when movies were just on the telly. I recently watched it with my son now that he’s an adult.
