Pussycat Dolls star Ashley Roberts shared her take on the friction between David Haye and Adam Thomas on I’m A Celebrity South Africa

Ashley Roberts spoke candidly about her experience on I’m A Celebrity South Africa, revealing that at times things became “uncomfortable”.

The 44-year-old appeared on Monday’s instalment of This Morning to speak to presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard about her time on the spin-off show.

Admitting that she found the whole process “tough”, Ashley also shared her take on the friction between her I’m A Celeb co-stars, David Haye and Adam Thomas.

Professional boxer David and Waterloo Road actor Adam recently hit headlines as their conversations became rather tense in camp. Recently, Adam took to social media to confess that David “broke me in there”.

When asked about what happened on the pre-recorded series, Ashley, who rose to fame as a member of The Pussycat Dolls, admitted things went too far.

She said, “Bless him, Adam was not feeling well in there, he was feeling quite ill, and David Haye just kept pushing and pushing.

“At first, you think it’s lads’ banter, but then it just went a bit too far. It was uncomfortable at times! Yeah, it was a bit.

“I think some of us girls actually went outside of camp and just took a moment to just breathe together.” She added: “It was tough in there!”

ITV viewers were left outraged by David’s behaviour toward Adam on Friday’s episode, after he dismissed the former soap star’s inability to take part in the Termite Terror trial.

When Adam explained that he was unable to take part in the trial due to dehydration, David lost his cool and snapped, “Dehydrated? We’ve all got the same amount of water! Adam is doing it, and that’s it!”

“When is your top form gonna come? Why aren’t we forcing this dude to go and do it? Coincidentally, every time there’s something to do, he’s not feeling well!”

On Sunday (April 19), Adam shared a lengthy post on social media about her time on the show.

Some of his Instagram posts read: “What I’m most proud of is that at times like this, I wanted to walk, I wanted to quit, but I didn’t. Even when I wanted to walk away, even when it felt like too much, I never give up! and that means everything to me.

“He broke me in there, he pushed me to my limits, and I’ve told David this, and he’s apologised and that’s that! I’ve moved on now, am not one to hold a grudge. But thank you for all your lovely messages and all the kind words.”
