ALL-STAR MELTDOWN

I’m A Celeb in chaos two DAYS before final as stars QUIT, spoilers leak and bosses battle to convince campmate to return

WITH just two days until I’m A Celebrity’s big live final, execs are facing a challenge scarier than any Bushtucker Trial – a gang of misbehaving campmates.

Bosses on the ITV all-stars series are fighting fires left, right and centre as massive spoilers leak and the talent is refusing to turn up to film.

Yesterday, Craig Charles appeared to accidentally let slip he had made the final four — a result viewers are not meant to discover until the end of tomorrow night’s episode.

And fan sites leaked a huge spoiler from last night’s episode, revealing that Beverley Callard had left the camp on medical grounds.

The ex-Corrie star was forced to leave after a “funny turn” and broke down in tears as she told her pals.

That blow for the show, which was pre-recorded in September last year, comes as bosses battle to convince Jimmy Bullard to attend filming for Friday’s final, where a winner will be crowned after a live vote.

The ex-footballer has refused all contractual publicity to date, including ITV’s standard exit chat, over the fallout of his mammoth spat with Adam Thomas.

Viewers got to see the big bust-up last night as the campmates took on a new challenge in pairs, with the losing duo being eliminated from the show. Jimmy chose actor Adam to be his partner.

Hosts Ant and Dec explained: “Your fate going forward will depend on how well you perform during each trial in that pair.”

But when Adam started to work on his half of the Rancid Run challenge, Jimmy stayed rooted to the spot and refused to take part.

When Dec asked: “Are you going for it, Jim?”, Jimmy replied: “Boys, I don’t think I’ve got it in me.”

As Adam tried to encourage him, Jimmy then uttered the show’s “end game” phrase: “Sorry Adam, I’m so sorry. I’m a celebrity, get me out of here.”

Adam exclaimed: “You’re joking me bro. Jim, come on man. Don’t do this bro! Jimmy man, come on bro. Is that how we’re going out, yeah?”

As Adam marched up to face off with him, Jimmy added: “I’ve had enough. Sorry boys and girls.”

But Adam escalated matters, raging: “Are you taking the p**s? Are you taking the p**s? I’m in there getting covered with f***ing ants. Pr*ck.”

After a break, Adam went on: “I’ve done all that for him to go ‘I’m a celebrity’ . . . he’s doing f all.”

Jimmy replied: “Woah, woah, woah, calm down, that’s pathetic.”

Adam asked: “What’s up with you bro? If you wanted to go, go. Don’t take me with you. Go home in camp, don’t do it on my f**ing watch.”

Jimmy replied: “I choose when I come and when I go.”

With Jimmy effectively quitting the show — which threatened Adam’s survival too — the reason for his sudden departure has now been revealed.

At the time of filming, his dad was poorly and home was on his mind.

In a cruel twist of fate, Jimmy’s dad suffered a stroke in 2014 seven months before his first turn on I’m A Celebrity.

Opening up on why he quit last night, Jimmy said: “I’ve got my mum and dad at home, my old man isn’t too well.”

An insider added to The Sun: “Jimmy was ready to go home.

“He was desperate to get back to the UK as he was facing a family crisis.

“Jimmy knew he’d done what he went in there to do and was happy to take the money and run. His dad was struggling with his health before he flew out and when there was the chance to pack it in, he took it.”

Continuing on last night’s episode, Jimmy said: “What a kerfuffle! Letting Adam down is a killer.

“From day dot we had the crack. But he’s just on a different journey to me, he wants to win it. He wants to do well and I get it.

“I thought we were going in there for stars for the camp to eat, but then they leave the door open for you, you could say, ‘I’m a celebrity, get me out of here’, and go home.

“People think I’m a bit out there and I give it to people, but it doesn’t necessarily        mean that you’re ready for them trials and stuff.

“I struggled so much, it got harder and harder. I lost David Haye, Gemma Collins — they were my big bouncers. You could go to them and bounce off of them.

“Unfortunately my time was up in the game.”

Adam’s place on the show was saved after Ant and Dec revealed that, given the circumstances, the campmates could vote whether to allow him to stay.

They agreed to, but Harry Redknapp said “his behaviour was not great” and Craig said he “over-reacted”.

Sinitta also pointed out to Adam that he had no idea what Jimmy had been feeling which may have led to his decision to quit.

She told him: “You can’t say Jimmy should have tried if he’s not feeling it — you can’t say that.”

Adam admitted he had behaved badly, saying he was “embarrassed”.

He added: “Only I know what I’ve been through and it’s been building up and I just acted how I did. And I just regret it all. I regret it. It doesn’t sit right with me being in here now. It’s just thrown a big spanner in the works, knowing I shouldn’t be here.”

Jimmy and Adam have failed to patch things up on the outside and the ex-footballer is yet to confirm his spot at Friday’s final — even though he could lose 20 per cent of his fee if he does not appear.

A source said: “Jimmy has been adamant for months that there’s no going back with Adam and he is prepared to face the consequences.

“It’s a shame that both Adam and Jimmy have not been able to find a resolution and move past it. Fans will be gutted.”

Meanwhile, Craig put his foot in it during an interview with Good Morning Britain.

On it, he said: “I have really enjoyed the experience. I got to do the whole journey.”

Fans leapt on the comment and took it as confirmation he had made it to the end.

However, perhaps realising he had given the game away, Craig then added: “I can’t tell you if I made it to the finale, can I?”

The final four campmates will be revealed at the end  of Thursday’s show when the vote opens for viewers to choose their winner on the I’m A Celeb  app.

Viewers can then choose their winner on the I’m A Celeb app, with the vote at the end of Thursday’s show, when the final four are revealed.

During Friday’s finale, the cast will all gather at a studio in West London to chat to Ant and Dec.

Footage will  show the four’s solo Bushtucker Trials and last banquet in the bush.
