Ferrari have unveiled their new-look race suits for the 2026 Formula 1 season. They are the outfits that drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will be wearing while behind the wheel of the Scuderia’s new car in the 2026 season, which is the start of a new era for the sport and all 11 teams.
Extensive new regulations for both engines and aerodynamic car designs have the potential to completely change the balance of power on the grid. It is an opportunity for Ferrari to get back to winning ways, after enduring a difficult 2025 season in which neither of their drivers managed to win a single Grand Prix.
Ferrari are yet to pull the covers off their new car, which they hope will be far more successful on track than its predecessor. They plan to show off their new livery at an event on Friday, January 23, at their home base in Maranello where both their drivers have been spending time in recent days are preparations for the new campaign ramp up.
Hamilton and Leclerc were seen in a video alongside team principal Frederic Vasseur, released last week, to hear Ferrari’s new engine being fired up for the first time. And they have also been used as models for their new race suits, which were shown off to the world on Monday.
In a short clip on social media, Leclerc is seen walking through an office setting after stepping out of an elevator, only the bottom half of him shown. Naturally, the base colour of the Puma-made race suits continues to be red, with white trim down the outside of each leg.
Leclerc is then joined by Hamilton, also only shown from behind and the waist down, but who is easily identifiable as Leclerc says: “LH!” when his team-mate appears. Hamilton then says: “We’re back at Maranello,” to which Leclerc replies: “We are!” Both drivers then arrive at a dark studio setting, where they stop, turn around and then are bathed in light to show off the full race suits, with a block of white around the collar and shoulders to go with the base red.
The reveal comes after Ferrari confirmed Hamilton will have a new race engineer this season. His debut year in red was difficult for many reasons, one of which was an apparently strained relationship with Riccardo Adami over the radio. Ferrari have now confirmed that Adami has been moved into another role within the organisation.
A statement read: “Riccardo Adami has moved to a new role within the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy as Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy and test previous cars manager, where his extensive trackside experience and F1 expertise contributes to the development of future talent and to strengthening performance culture across the programme.
“Scuderia Ferrari HP would like to thank Riccardo for his commitment and contribution to his trackside role and wishes him every success in his new position. The appointment of the new race engineer for car number 44 will be announced in due course.”
