David Haye has confirmed reports that he’s suing ITV over unaired I’m A Celebrity South Africa scenes.

The former boxer was recently seen clashing with former Emmerdale actor Adam Thomas during the live final of the All Stars version of the Ant and Dec series.

During the final, which was held in London, former footballer Jimmy Bullard stated he had been determined to explain what really happened during filming as he put forward his version of events, claiming eventual winner Adam dropped ‘c-bombs’ which were not aired.

Adam, who viewers crowned the second ‘Jungle Legend’ responded by saying he took ‘full responsibility’ for his actions, which he apologised for, and said he has ‘nothing but love for Jimmy’. However, David, who faced his own controversy with Adam, interrupted the exchange and said: “You’ve got a funny way of showing it.”

Dec had to step in and remind David that he ‘wasn’t there’ when Adam and Jimmy’s row unfolded. Following on from the final, there is still tension between Adam and David.

Responding to Adam’s claims that his behaviour towards him was ‘bullying’, the sportsman recently said: “So, I’ve just taken the time to listen to Adam Thomas’ podcast with his brothers, Ryan and Scott. It’s very, very interesting to see. He’s had a few days to sit down and full it over and process everything that’s happened, him winning I’m A Celebrity and how he’s processed it and it was enlightening.

“Dishing out banter to me, then losing the banter game, I gave it back to him, and he starts crying and moaning, somehow he’s spun it so he’s still the victim. He’s done an hour of chat with his brothers. I put it on double speed because I couldn’t listen to the waffle, but all three of them b**ching and whining and moaning, complaining he won!

I don’t think he’s been around guys, like proper guys, who actually have a bit of back and forth and you build your resilience, your mental resilience, to jibes.” David went on to say he’s ‘had plenty of it’ in his time as a boxer and told how if he lost a fight, his mates would ‘give him s**t for it’ but said: “It’s what real men do!”

Following reports emerging that David was potentially suing ITV over the series, the 45-year-old posted a video explaining what his plan is. He captioned his post: “Let’s get ready to rumble!! David Haye v ITV #imacelebrity #itv #itvnews #davidhaye #antanddec.”

Speaking in the video, David said: “I’ve been inundated with people wanting a statement in regards to the legal situation with ITV and this defamation case.

“The answer is yes I am. I’m not sure if you know me that well but those who do know that I don’t like getting pushed around. I don’t like people taking advantage. I’ve had stuff happen in the past, I’ve let certain stuff go, but as I’ve got older I’m like, ‘nah, you’re taking the p**s’. I’m going to take it as far as it needs to go.”

He continued: “When you’re right and the decision comes down to a judge… Once the tapes have been viewed and the evidence has been presented, they’ll realise that this reality TV might not be that real, maybe it’s manipulated heavily and directed in a certain narrative for a specific reason.

“I’m looking forward to a judge seeing exactly what went down, so they can make their decision.”

Claiming ‘there’s lots of different elements he can’t talk about’ David said that he’s seen reports stating he’s seeking ‘£10 million’. However, he informed his 531,000 followers that the number he is ‘going to hit them with is way more than that’.
