Oscar Piastri is currently on course to win his first F1 world title. While the McLaren star looks to navigate the remaining races this season, the Australian driver will be supported by his girlfriend Lily Zneimer.
Piastri secured fourth place in the drivers’ standings last year following his switch to the team in 2023. He previously served as a test driver for Renault. With McLaren tipped for further Constructors’ Championship success this season, both Piastri and teammate Lando Norris were anticipated to shine – and it has been Piastri who has delivered the most impressive performances. The 24-year-old has claimed seven race victories in 2025. Despite a minor setback in Baku, he remains firmly positioned to capture his first world title. Standing by his side as he pursues the world title is his partner, Lily.
Lily and Piastri initially crossed paths during their boarding school days, with the driver relocating from Melbourne to the UK, aged 14. Piastri attended Haileybury College in both Hertford and Australia while dominating 3 and Formula 4 races.
The pair began their romance during their penultimate year at college. Speaking on the Party Mode podcast in 2023, Piastri revealed details about his rather private romance with the British student.
“We’ve been together ever since [college],” he explained. “So it’s been nice to have someone there from the start that’s still with me. She’s come to quite a few races this year, which has been nice.
“We keep it private, [but] not secretive like some relationships are. We keep it to ourselves and try to be out of the spotlight and just live normal lives.”

In 2023, shortly before his maiden Australian Grand Prix, a promotional clip produced by race organisers featured Piastri showing his partner around a local wildlife sanctuary in his home city.
“I’ve really enjoyed coming back here when I can and to be able to share that with my partner as well is very special,” Piastri said. “It’s been nice to have her here this time and relax a little bit, have a bit of downtime, and show her some of the sights of Melbourne.”
Following his first F1 victory in 2024 at the Hungarian Grand Prix, Piastri ensured he thanked his partner, who was not in Budapest. “Hi to Lily, I’m sure you’re watching. I will see you soon,” Piastri said during his post-race interview after defeating Norris and Lewis Hamilton for the top spot.

Speaking to The Athletic, Piastri confessed he favours maintaining a low-key lifestyle with his partner, enjoying simple activities like gaming and preparing meals at home.
“In some ways chilling and cooking makes you feel more normal because when we’re at the races, we have the catering team here, or we always go out to restaurants, and sometimes it’s just nice to have a normal meal that you’ve cooked yourself,” he explained.
Lily will be cheering on Piastri this Sunday as he races around the Marina Bay Street Circuit in the Singapore Grand Prix.
He currently leads the drivers’ standings, with a 25-point advantage over team-mate Norris, and is a huge 69 points ahead of current champion Max Verstappen.
