Emmerdale is revealing who is behind villain Ray Walters’ death – as the village is torn apart following the explosive Corriedale crossover.
The one-off event brought ITV soaps Coronation Street and Emmerdale together for one night.
Multiple favourites were involved in a terrifying car pile up, but not everyone made it out alive.
Just before the crossover, baddie Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) was revealed to have been killed.
The criminal featured in Corriedale as a corpse, with the body briefly being shown in Jai Sharma’s (Chris Bisson) van.
Luckily for fans, they won’t have to wait too long to discover who is responsible for Ray’s death.

Meanwhile co-star Jaye, 62, has also reportedly filmed her final scenes with her character said to be leaving ‘chaos and secrets’ in her wake (pictured together in the soap)
Series producer Laura Shaw said in a statement: ‘Following the discovery of Ray’s body, villagers’ secrets will come out as the mystery surrounding Ray’s death is finally solved.
‘Before the end of January, a special week will flash back to the night of the murder, revealing which of the multiple suspects is responsible for Ray’s demise.’
It followed months of Ray and his adopted mother Celia (Jaye Griffiths) lying to and taking advantage of teens April (Amelia Flanagan) and Dylan (Fred Kettle).
In Corriedale itself, other major moments included the death of villain John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), as well as Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) learning he has cancer.
Addressing this, Laura said: ‘The Dingle family are set to face huge repercussions and Cain is at the centre of a major prostate cancer storyline spanning across 2026.
‘Adding to their devastation, Moira will be arrested for human trafficking, with her arrest timed to coincide with her husband’s diagnosis.
‘Their complex marriage will be tested as they face dark times.
‘The truth about John’s death will be revealed, as Victoria’s clever deception, making John’s death look like suicide, will unravel.
‘Evil Joe Tate knows the truth and has damning video evidence which he plans to use to get what he wants from the Sugdens, potentially taking control of Butler’s Farm.
‘Robert is also in the thick of it, trying to save Victoria by planting evidence.’
But while Joe may be intending to leverage the Sugdens, it would appear he is set for a major bombshell.
Corriedale viewers were gobsmacked to see Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) appear – despite having been murdered six years earlier.

Emmerdale villain John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) was one of two characters killed off during Corriedale
The character mostly appeared as a hooded figure, with his identity revealed towards the end of the special.
Laura said: ‘A familiar face is returning to the village full-time!
‘None other than Graham Foster will make a sensational comeback. His return will have massive repercussions for both Kim, with whom he shares a complex love and hate relationship, and Rhona, who was about to run away with him.
‘Graham will explain exactly what happened six years ago when he was “killed”, but the question will be whether Joe can ever forgive his father-figure for allowing him to believe he was dead.’
In another storyline, just before being killed by Ray, Celia admitted to having killed Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards).
Paddy is searching for his missing father and is completely unaware of Bear’s tragic fate.
Laura added: ‘This emotional search and tragic discovery will bring Paddy’s mental health problems back to the forefront.’
Last but not least, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) agreed to act as a surrogate for granddaughter Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill).
Although Charity has fallen pregnant, Sarah is unaware that the baby is actually Charity’s and Ross Barton (Michael Parr).
Speaking on this, Laura said: ‘The truth surrounding Charity’s pregnancy is set to blow wide open.
‘Mackenzie mistakenly believes he could be the baby’s father, but the secret that Ross is the real father is still under wraps.
‘With the baby due in spring, the birth may be the event that finally exposes all of Charity’s secrets…’
Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
