Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal star in the recently released six-part thriller, which centres on an estranged married couple brought back together by a shocking murder in their hometown.

As audiences finish the unpredictable His and Hers, many are looking for their next engrossing watch on the platform.

Based on Stephen King’s bestselling novel of the same name, Mr Mercedes follows the story of psychopathic serial killer Brady Hartsfield (played by Harry Treadaway) after his ramming attack on 16 people at a job fair, reports the Express.

Despite scant evidence identifying the culprit of this horrific crime, retired detective Bill Hodges (Brendan Gleeson) refuses to give up his investigation, determined to bring about justice.

Author Harlan Coben has established himself as a master of successful Netflix thrillers adapted from his bestselling novels, and Run Away is no different.

Released on New Year’s Day, the series follows Simon Greene (James Nesbitt), who has been desperately searching for his runaway daughter Paige (Ellie de Lange) for the past six months. However, when he finally finds her, it sets off a chain of dangerous events, unveiling family secrets that no one anticipated.

Adapted from Sarah Pinborough’s 2017 psychological thriller novel of the same name, Behind Her Eyes centres on single mum Louise (Simona Brown) who starts an affair with her psychiatrist boss David (Tom Bateman).

Louise also secretly befriends David’s mysterious wife Adele (Eve Hewson), leading to twisted mind games and a shocking cliffhanger that viewers have labelled as “horrifying”.

Led by a spellbinding performance from Irish actress Eve Hewson – daughter of U2 frontman Bono – fans have been flocking to social media to demand a second series to this day.

Dark Winds

Set in the 1970s Navajo Nation in the American Southwest, Tribal Police Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn (Zach McClarnon) partners with his new deputy Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordon) to probe several crimes that initially seem unrelated.

But as they piece together clues surrounding a brutal double murder, they find themselves grappling with their own internal conflicts and beliefs.

Currently, only the first series of Dark Winds is available on Netflix, with hints that its second will debut later this year. However, all three series of Dark Winds can be streamed on NOW.

The critically acclaimed psychological crime drama The Sinner focuses less on the crime itself and more on understanding why individuals commit these horrifying acts.

While each series focuses on a distinct case, the heart of The Sinner is Detective Harry Ambrose, played by Bill Pullman, who tirelessly delves into gruesome acts of violence and their disturbing underlying causes.

The Sinner first hit our screens with Hollywood star Jessica Biel leading the cast back in 2017.

The following year we got a second run that saw Pullman back as Detective Henry Ambrose with a new leading lady in Gone Girl star Carrie Coon.
