
Eamonn Holmes left viewers stunned this week after launching an extraordinary on-air tirade against Channel 4’s Naked Attraction — dismissing the hit dating series as nothing more than “porn by another name” during a fiery moment on GB News.

The 66-year-old broadcaster didn’t just criticise the format — he revealed he once begged his own son to walk away from the show entirely.
The explosive exchange unfolded during a discussion about the closure of MTV on New Year’s Eve and the changing landscape of television, with streaming services increasingly dominating what audiences choose to watch.
But it was Naked Attraction that truly ignited Holmes.
“I see Naked Attraction as a complete waste of time,” he fumed. “What on earth is it all about? Willies and bottoms. It’s porn by another name. It’s ridiculous.”

His co-host Dawn Neesom admitted she had never watched the programme herself, though she joked about the technical challenges behind the scenes after knowing a sound engineer who once worked on it.
That’s when Holmes dropped his bombshell.
“My youngest son was the floor manager on it,” he said bluntly. “I told him — father to son — you’re not working on that filth. Did he listen? Of course not.”
The studio burst into laughter, with Neesom teasing him: “You’re turning into your mum.”
Holmes didn’t deny it. “There’s a lot of my mother in me,” he replied.
Naked Attraction, which first aired in 2016, remains one of Channel 4’s most divisive formats. Contestants choose potential partners based purely on their naked bodies — starting with feet and working up — before meeting clothed to see whether chemistry exists beyond physical attraction.
But Holmes’ outburst isn’t the only reason his name has been trending.
In recent weeks, GB News viewers have taken to social media to vent their frustration over what they describe as his “unprofessional” on-air habits — including coughing, eating, and allegedly dropping crumbs down his suit while broadcasting.
One disgruntled viewer posted:
“Why is Holmes allowed to stuff himself live on TV? It’s so unprofessional.”
Another added:
“If he stopped eating Greggs sausage rolls during the show, he wouldn’t be coughing everywhere.”
Yet for all the criticism, Holmes remains defiantly outspoken — and if his furious attack on Naked Attraction proves anything, it’s that he has no intention of softening his views any time soon.
