A popular Spanish DJ has shared her cancer diagnosis in a heartbreaking new video posted on social media.

Beatriz Martínez, also known as DJ B Jones, revealed in an emotional video posted on Instagram on Sunday, Jan. 18, that she has been diagnosed with lymphatic cancer as she filmed from her hospital bed.

“I’m probably recording the hardest video of my life, but also the most inspiring…” Jones began in the translated clip. She then explained to her 347,000 followers that she recently had a biopsy on “a benign tumor” that turned out to be “lymphatic cancer.”

“That I will overcome 100%,” Jones continued, noting that she’s “healing very well” and feeling “strong” so far amid her surgeries and treatment.

Jones went on to say that she is starting chemotherapy, “which will be tough,”  however, she shared her determination to pull through her treatment.

“I want to handle it with the best attitude, but for that I need something  — I don’t want my Instagram or my community, my family, which is you, to live in illness. We are going to live in happiness and in the fight … because illness is a part of life,” she said to her followers.

Lymphatic cancer, or “lymphoma,” refers to blood cancers in the lymphatic system. There are two types: Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, which can be aggressive or indolent, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

At the start of 2026, Jones shared with fans that she had been dealing with an illness in recent weeks, “without knowing exactly what it was.” She has since shared regular updates on her social media about her treatment in the hospital.

“It’s my turn now, but there are many people suffering from this,” continued Jones in her latest video. “My plan is to keep making music, and I want you to dance to it and enjoy it until I can get back behind the DJ booth,” she added.
