Jasmine Harman was emotional as she achieved a social media milestone. The A Place in the Sun presenter regularly shares updates from her life on Instagram.
The 50-year-old was in disbelief yesterday as she revealed she has hit 250,000 followers. Reflecting on the milestone, the property expert said: “Oh my gosh!! I’ve hit 250k followers on here! This is WILD! Thank you so much for following me. I am in no way an influencer or anything, I post honestly about my life and work and I cry lots so this feels like a big deal for me!
“Tell me why you’re here? Lots of love x” People took to the comments and said it was Jasmine’s candid persona why they are invested in her updates.
Yvette said: “Love you because you and your family real, that’s lovely to see these days.” Sandra added: “Well I am with you because you are honest, well liked and just enjoy watching how you are all getting on xx”
Cat posted: “You are a genuine and down to earth person and I love watching you on a Place in the Sun. It’s a dream to one day live permanently in Spain like yourself. That place is very special and calls to my soul. Loved your renovation and your gorgeous family”
Teresa said: “I absolutely love seeing people’s journey to their dream home abroad I have absolutely loved your journey too it was fantastic”
Jasmine has been an integral part of A Place in the Sun since joining over 20 years ago, in 2004 Away from the screen, she is married to Jon Boast and they share two children.
Her house-hunting skills proved to come in handy when she was looking for a home in Spain for her family. In 2023, she made her dream move away from London to sunny Estepona on Spain’s Costa del Sol.
Speaking on Loose Women about finally taking the plunge and moving abroad, she shared: “It was a long time coming, and it came about because I was having to go away for work so frequently and leave my children and my family back at home in the UK.”
She added: “My husband wanted to live by the sea. So I said ‘if we want to move to the coast, let’s move to the Mediterranean coast!’.”
Despite experiencing several challenges throughout the renovation project, Jasmine said: “For our family it was the best thing to do and I’ve got no regrets.”
