Queensland has been rocked by a horror day on the roads after multiple crashes left a trail of death and critical injuries.
Four serious crashes across the southeast included a fatal Lamborghini smash, a multi-vehicle mountain collision, a truck rollover that has left a woman fighting for life, and a fatal two-vehicle crash in Purga.
Two people were killed when a high-powered Lamborghini lost control and crashed along the Mount Lindesay Highway near Beaudesert about 5.40pm on Sunday.
The 45-year-old woman and 44-year-old man were travelling in the luxury sports car when it lost control. Both died at the scene.
Footage of their Lamborghini Gallardo being towed from the scene shows the significant damage to the vehicle.

The tragedy was part of a grim 24-hour stretch on South East Queensland roads, with two further serious crashes unfolding within hours of each other.
In the early hours of Monday morning, a truck and sedan collided at Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast about 4.20am, causing the truck to flip onto its side and trapping the female driver of the car inside her vehicle.
The woman suffered significant head injuries and was rushed to hospital in a life-threatening condition.
The truck driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Earlier on Sunday, a three-vehicle crash on Tamborine Mountain Rd about 10.40am left one man dead and several others seriously injured in what was a chaotic scene on the busy stretch of road.
Police said a white Subaru Liberty was travelling south when it collided with a northbound BMW motorcycle and a Nissan X-Trail, bringing traffic to a standstill as emergency crews rushed in.
The motorcyclist, a 52-year-old man, suffered critical injuries and was flown to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where he later died.
Two male passengers in the Subaru, aged 22 and 25, were also flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The 25-year-old Subaru driver, along with a 72-year-old man and 70-year-old woman in the Nissan X-Trail, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Shockingly, on Monday afternoon, a fourth fatal crash occurred when two vehicles collided on Ipswich-Boonah Rd at Purga about 12.30pm.
Police said a Suzuki hatchback and a Mazda hatchback, travelling in opposite directions near the intersection of Carmichaels Rd, collided, with both drivers, a woman in her 20s and a man in his 20s, dying at the scene.
Both were the sole occupants of their vehicles, and investigations into all four crashes are ongoing.
