AN URGENT search has been launched for a 51-year-old woman who vanished after getting on a bus three days ago.

Poppy was last seen in the town centre in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, on Friday.

The missing woman is understood to have gotten on an early morning bus heading towards Bedfordshire before disappearing.

Cops say they are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare and are urging anyone who spots her to contact police immediately.

Hertfordshire Constabulary has since released an image of Poppy as their frantic manhunt continues .

The force said: “We are now able to confirm that the person pictured is missing Poppy, and we are continuing to appeal to the public for help in finding her.

“Poppy, aged 51, was reported missing after being seen in Stevenage town centre at around 9.15am yesterday (Friday 20 February).

“It is understood Poppy then got on a bus heading towards Bedfordshire at around 9.20am.

“Officers are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare and want to make sure she’s okay.”
