JAKE Quickenden has defended Jimmy Bullard after a clip from 2014 resurfaced which fans have branded as an example of Jimmy’s ‘bullying’.

The star has found himself locked in a bullying row following the explosive series of I’m A Celebrity All Stars which saw Jimmy butt heads with Adam Thomas.

Jimmy is now planning to take legal action against ITV after insisting that Adam’s conduct was “abusive, intimidating and aggressive.”

Those key words are written into all stars’ contracts and Jimmy is now hoping to prove that Adam’s behaviour fell foul of those standards in order to continue a complaint as well as accusing ITV of editing the show to give a favourable edit to eventual winner, Adam.

However, following the dramatic row, scenes from Jimmy’s original series of the show have begun to resurface and have seen claims from fans of “bullying”.

One moment related to Jimmy’s conduct against former The X Factor contestant, Jake Quickenden, which some viewers have insisted fell foul of expected standards.

However, Jimmy has now defended Jimmy and put to bed speculation he was ‘bullied’ by the footballer.

Reacting to fans sharing the clip, Jake said: “I’m gonna be honest here, bullying should be called out but he didn’t bully me here.

“He was my pal in there, we was having a laugh, he out did me and I didn’t know what to say back lol.

“He was trying to make me bite.

Some people may see it different but I can say this, he didn’t bully me.

“He was actually so sound to me in there and ever since, he still messages me to catch-up.”

Jake’s defence of Jimmy has firmly aligned him with Jimmy and David Haye on their side of the country’s most talked-about row of the year so far.

Sinitta and Craig Charles are also aligned with Jimmy and David but most of the other campmates and celebrities who have had their say since have been on the side of Emmerdale‘s Adam.

Jake is one of very few stars to defend Jimmy and his antics.
