Earlier this month, Amy revealed that she would be undergoing a second mastectomy, and the Strictly pro has issued fans a new health update just two weeks after the procedure.

She shared a snap of her self a day after her surgery on Instagram and reassured fans and followers that she was on the mend.

In the caption, she wrote: “This picture I took the day I come out of hospital, post surgery!

“Tomorrow marks two weeks since my surgery, and l’m feeling proud with how far l’ve come.

“Focusing on the little things, l’m seeing gradual improvements in my movement and being able to do more each day.

“I have been taking it slow, listening to my body, being kind with myself, and celebrating the small wins.

“But this week l’ve really seen a difference and feeling so like me again. Please remember to check yourself.”

The post, which she shared on Wednesday, has already received over 66,000 likes on the platform.

The update comes after the star confirmed she’d been discharged from hospital following the successful procedure.

She shared snaps at home surrounded by flowers and loved ones as she tuned into Strictly while recovering from her op.

In the caption, she wrote: “Home, resting up, still got my drain in but rrrrrready for the best entertainment and medicine there is for me….. @bbcstrictly 💖🎀 good luck everyone. Cheering you all on from home! Lots of luck and love xxxxx”.

The star has been actively sharing updates around her health on the platform, and revealed news she would be undergoing a second mastectomy earlier this month.

Her post read: “As you all know I’ve always been very open about my health and the care I receive.

“So I’d like to start by being clear that what I am about to share is not to treat a new cancer diagnosis.

“However, following a recent appointment with my incredible medical team, we’ve decided that I’ll be having another mastectomy this week.

“They’re confident that, all going well, I can expect a straightforward recovery.

“Once I have healed I look forward to rejoining my Strictly family.”

Amy added: “Of course I’m going to miss not being there so much but I will be watching from home and look forward to cheering everyone on. Thank you always for all the support.”

The star later thanked fans for their support following her announcement, and said she remained hopeful to return to Strictly in 2026.
