A WOMAN who was found dead alongside a baby in this week has been named locally.
Monika Kubasiewicz, 30s, was tragically discovered dead along a newborn baby at a property in the Greenhill Village estate in Carrick-on-Suir, Co Tipperary.
The bodies were discovered by a relative who went into the property on Friday afternoon.
It is understood the deaths stemmed from a medical emergency.
Gardai are treating the case as a personal tragedy.
Locals said Ms Kubasiewicz and her family had only recently moved into the area.

The family had previously been living in an emergency accommodation after a business failed during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Originally from Poland, they had lived in the country for several years before they moved into their Carrick-on-Suir home.
A post-mortem examination on Ms Kubasiewicz was completed on Saturday.
A file is currently being prepared for the coroner.
A post-mortem examination on the infant will take place next week.
However, the results of which will also not be released for operational reasons, according to Gardai.
A family liaison officer has been appointed to assist the family of the deceased.
The investigations remain ongoing, with high sensitivity amid the tragic circumstances.
In a statement issued by An Garda Siochana’s spokesperson, they said: “Gardai continue to investigate all of the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the bodies of a woman (aged in her 30s) and an infant at a domestic residence in Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary on Friday 8 May 2026.
“The post-mortem examination of the woman has concluded. The results of which are not being released for operational reasons.
“The post-mortem examination of the infant is due to take place early next week.
“The results of which will not be released for operational reasons.
“The focus of the Garda investigation at this time concerns the preparation of a file for the coroner.”
A councillor in the town has issued an appeal on social media urging people not to speculate on what happened.
He also asked people not to share anything they had heard about the deaths.
