“I’m excited to perform it and just to be in the Braves Stadium. I’m pumped,” Brown said ahead of his performance.

Kane Brown kicked off the MLB All-Star Game, also known as the Midsummer Classic, pre-game ceremony at Truist Park in Atlanta with an impressive cover of “Georgia On My Mind” by Ray Charles.
The 31-year-old country superstar, donning a sleeveless Atlanta Braves jersey tucked into jeans with a brown belt and belt buckle, paid homage to his Georgia roots with a heartfelt rendition of the classic R&B hit from atop a two-layer circle red stage alongside two background singers.
“I said, Georgia, oh, Georgia/ No peace I find (No peace I find)/ Just an old, sweet song/ Keeps Georgia on my mind/ (Georgia on my mind, oh)” Brown sang, allowing his southern drawl and vocal range to be put on full display against a stripped back instrumental.

His performance was met with thunderous applause and cheers so loud, it sounded like someone had just smashed a home run out of the park.
Ahead of his performance, Kane Brown sat down with the MLB Network to chat about the performance. “I mean, I ain’t no Ray Charles, but yeah, it’s awesome. I’m excited to perform it and just to be in the Braves Stadium. I’m pumped. I’ve only been to one game here, probably like four or five years ago, so it’s a beautiful, beautiful stadium,” Brown said.
He also discussed his love for baseball and playing it at the age of just 3 years old. “Man playing at three, I was the kid [that while] everybody else was playing in the dirt, and I was going from shortstop running to first base to get the guy out, and I played select ball, traveled all over,” Brown, who played shortstop and pitcher, explained. “I could swing it, but I hit it out of the park one time. I had like probably 20 to 25, but they were all in the park home runs.”
This isn’t the first time that Brown has performed “Georgia On My Mind” in front of a large crowd. In fact, Brown previously performed the Ray Charles’ hit at the 59th Annual ACM Awards.
The 2025 MLB All-Star Game opened with an electrifying pre-show, featuring Zac Brown Band’s powerful rendition of The National Anthem and a performance of “Welcome To Atlanta” by Ludacris and Jermaine Dupri as the 2025 American League and National League were introduced. Lauren Spencer Smith also took the field at Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves, to deliver a stunning performance of Canada’s national anthem, “O Canada.”
In a thrilling finish, the National League defeated the American League 4–3 after a historic home run swing-off tiebreaker, following a 6–6 tie through nine innings. Kyle Schwarber of the Philadelphia Phillies sealed the win with three home runs on three swings, earning MVP honors for his clutch performance.
Kane Brown recently released a high-energy new summer anthem, “2 Pair.” The track follows the release of his latest album, The High Road, which dropped in January 2025.

Following the success of the U.S. leg of his headlining The High Road Tour, where he headlined sold-out arenas in cities like Nashville, New York, Montreal, and more, Kane Brown is keeping the momentum going with a series of solo and festival performances this summer. He’ll then embark on the second leg of the tour, which will take him overseas to Europe and the United Kingdom.
Additionally, Kane Brown is set to cap off his whirlwind year by making his feature film debut in The Token Groomsman.
