TalkTV presenter Kevin O’Sullivan claimed Meghan Markle could surpass Prince Harry’s Spare by millions should the Duchess release a bombshell autobiography. His prediction came during his What Just Happened panel show, in which co-host Ash Gould was reading comments from viewers. He read: “Meghan Markle is a well-known liar; anyone who believes she isn’t writing a book is an idiot or a moron. Take your choice, as it’s understood that it’s already written or being added to.”

This follows years of speculation after Harry’s 2023 memoir delivered highly personal and explosive claims about the Royal Family, with revelations about his drug use and rift with Prince William. Royal correspondent and commentator Jennie Bond previously suggested that Meghan’s version of events will “remain a potential weapon in her back pocket if she ever feels the need to seek some sort of revenge.” As he laughed at the comment, Kevin responded: “I think she will write a book.

“I don’t think she’s writing it at the moment, but it is, as I said last week, it’s her banker. If all else fails, she can write that book, I think Harry made £27m from Spare, she’ll make 10 times that from her book,” he concluded.

It’s been claimed that Meghan has been quietly writing an autobiography for years, with the Netflix star seemingly using the book as an avenue to speak her truth.

In addition to the release of Spare, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were also very outspoken about their time in the firm, with a shocking interview with Oprah Winfrey, their own Netflix series and Harry’s solo ITV interview with Tom Bradby.

Addressing the mother-of-two’s rumoured memoir, Jennie added: “Obviously, the journal she mentioned will remain a potential weapon in her back pocket if she ever feels the need to seek some sort of revenge. But she has behaved with discretion and dignity ever since Oprah and the documentary series.”

She added: “I think she is looking forward, not backwards and is moving on with her life. So I don’t think we should be raising false alarms about any potential memoir.”

It’s likely the royals will be furious should the book come to light, as insiders claimed that Buckingham Palace reportedly felt deep disappointment, exasperation, and sadness, feeling betrayed but choosing to maintain a wall of silence.

It was said that aides and family members found the disclosures damaging to the monarchy’s reputation and expressed frustration over the timing, which occurred during the lead-up to the King’s coronation.

Despite this, Buckingham and Kensington Palace formally maintained a strict “no comment” policy regarding the allegations in Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare. Senior royals did not issue direct rebuttals; instead, leaning on their traditional mantra of “never complain, never explain.”

The Daily Express have contacted Meghan Markle’s reps and Kensington Palace for comment.
