A release date for The Traitors season 5 has not been revealed and fans may need to wait for new episodes as season 4 has only recently ended.

The previous four installments of the U.S. series have all debuted in January, starting with season 1 in 2023.

Yes, Alan Cumming will be back to host season 5 of The Traitors, per NBC Insider.

Cumming won the Emmy for Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Reality Competition Program in both 2024 and 2025 for his work on the series.

In a 2024 episode of Variety’s Awards Circuit podcast, the Cabaret actor said he loves being over-the-top and “chewing the scenery” as the host of The Traitors.

“It’s kind of dichotomy of absolute improvise, being in the moment and then these big sort of set pieces. I can’t tell you how much I love this show,” he explained in August 2024.

Cumming continued, “I’ve hosted things before like documentaries and shows. But nothing like this. This is very much a very different person to who actually I am.”

The latest cast of celebrities headed to the Traitors castle hasn’t been revealed yet, but there have been updates about an upcoming offshoot of the cutthroat competition series.

In August 2025, it was announced that a spinoff of The Traitors featuring every day people will premiere on NBC.

While a debut date hasn’t been unveiled, filming for it will take place in May and June 2026, according to the contestant application form.
