Meghan Markle will allegedly bring “utter chaos” if she chooses to come back to the UK this summer, according to a source. The Duchess of Sussex has not set foot in the UK since 2022, but this could change this year, as Prince Harry’s One Year To Go event for the Invictus Games 2027 in Birmingham will take place this summer, with the Duke already planning to attend.

At the same time, Harry’s threat level in the UK is being reassessed by the Home Office’s Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC), which would mean that the royal gets his armed security reinstated. If that happens, his wife may likely join him this summer in Britain.

Sources have now claimed that Meghan’s possible arrival back on UK soil is sparking “severe royal anxiety”.

One royal source told Radar Online: “This would not be a low-key visit. When Meghan arrives, everything becomes louder, faster, and more complicated.

“Staff across several households are already preparing for disruption.”

Another source said Meghan’s visit to the UK would bring “utter chaos” behind Palace walls, adding: “People are bracing themselves because the Sussexes do nothing by halves, and Meghan in particular brings an entire ecosystem with her.

“This will be utter chaos and everyone is already bracing themselves for the ‘full Meghan experience’ when it comes to the headlines that will come out of this.”

The source said: “[Harry] has always been clear that he cannot see how he can bring his family to the UK unless proper security measures are in place”.

Unless the security situation has changed, his position remains the same, they added.
