“Their relationship is different,” a source tells PEOPLE of the actress and the hypnotherapist

Jennifer Aniston’s relationship with Jim Curtis is going strong.

A source tells PEOPLE exclusively that the actress, 56, and the hypnotherapist, 50, are continuing to enjoy their time together, after they were first linked earlier this year.

“Their relationship is different,” the insider says, adding of Aniston specifically, “She’s very excited about it.”

“It’s obvious that she admires him. She talks about how he has amazing energy, and she loves what he does for living, because it truly helps people, including herself,” they continue of The Morning Show star and Curtis.

Detailing that Curtis is “kind and grounded,” the source says Aniston enjoys the peace that brings to her life. “She acts like she feels very safe with him. She’s really in a great place,” they say.

The insider also tells PEOPLE that Aniston and Curtis share similar interests, stating, “They both liked little rituals and moments that are grounding. They are both into symbolism.”

Aniston and Curtis were first photographed together in July on a yacht. Curtis has since attended various events in support of Aniston, including a LolaVie launch event and the premiere of The Morning Show season 4 in New York City.

The Friends alum went Instagram official with Curtis earlier this month, when she paid tribute to her boyfriend in honor of his 50th birthday by sharing a cozy snap of them together. “Happy birthday my love. Cherished ❤️,” Aniston wrote alongside the black-and-white photo.

Aniston shared rare comments about her relationship with Curtis in a recent interview with Elle, as she was named a 2025 Women in Hollywood honoree.

“Hypnotism is one of the many things that he does,” she said as part of the publication’s December 2025/January 2026 Issue.

“He’s quite extraordinary, and helps many, many people. He’s very special, very normal, and very kind, and wants to help people heal, move through their trauma and stagnation into clarity,” Aniston continued.

“It’s a beautiful thing to commit your life to,” added the star.
