🚨 HE SET OUT ON THE RIVER… BUT NEVER MADE IT BACK — A DESPERATE SEARCH IS NOW UNDERWAY AFTER ONE SUDDEN MOMENT CHANGED EVERYTHING
The alarm was raised on Saturday and there has been no sign of the 53-year-old.
A fisherman has disappeared in the Goulburn River in rural Victoria.
The 53-year-old man was in a kayak that overturned in the river at Ghin Ghin, about two-hours north of Melbourne, 10.50am on Saturday.
“Another person was on the bank of the river at the time and called for assistance,” Victoria Police said.
A multi operational search of the river and the area by Ghin Ghin Rd began shortly after.
“A significant search of the river is underway again today including Water Police, SES, police divers, Search and Rescue and a police drone,” Victoria Police said on Sunday.
“SES are also assisting in searching the banks around the river.”
