On Monday night the Morning Live presenters appeared to hard launch their romance at the Pride of Britain Awards.

Helen, 42, and Gethin, 47, looked every inch the smitten couple as they put their arms around each other on the red carpet.

It’s now being reported that the BBC want them to “confirm” their romance.

It comes after months of speculation which started back in May.

A source told the Daily Mail: “There’s a common feeling among them [BBC bosses] that it’s time for Helen and Gethin to confirm where they stand and stop playing around with the viewers. It’s time for clarity.

“Standing together on that red carpet has only confused viewers, who truly do want them to be an item, and it’s not fair anymore to keep the speculation going.

“It’s starting to feel on purpose as they’re really leaning into it.”

First reports of their romance started five months ago, when it was suggested that the co-stars had grown ‘close’ off-screen with insiders suggesting “their friendship has blossomed into a deeper connection”.

Hinting at a close connection, Gethin told The Sun: “We are very supportive of each other, we like do look out for each other.

“I think that’s fair to say on and off camera.

“You sometimes could get… you might need a little pep talk every now and then. Because she’s very passionate.”

In June, they were spotted at a spa together, with claims their romance was “heating up.”

However, by July their were reports that the two had “cooled off” anything romantic.

It was alleged that Gethin joined the celebrity dating app Raya while in Australia.

“Gethin is on the prowl Down Under which puts the nail in the coffin for his romance with Helen,” a source told MailOnline.

“He’s there with pals but keen to meet other women.

“There is no way Helen would stand for that if they were together and he has far too much respect for her to even go behind her back.

“Despite having an increasingly close connection it’s cooled down significantly which is gutting for fans who really wanted them to be together.”

But it now looks like they are keen to let the world know they are a couple, after their loved-up display at the Pride of Britain Awards.

Before Gethin, Helen was single after the collapse of her marriage to Leeds Rhinos star Richie Myler.

Myler left Helen and their three children to marry Stephanie Thirkill, the daughter of Leeds Rhinos president Andrew.

The new couple went on to have two children.

Gethin meanwhile was last seeing First Dates star CiCi Coleman in 2023.

He’s also enjoyed a host of other showbiz flings, including one with TOWIE’s Lucy Mecklenburgh and German lingerie model, Katja Zwara.

Gethin famously dated Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins for four years from 2007 and became engaged in February 2011.

The pair ended up splitting ten months later.
