MAFS viewers were devastated as fan-favourite couple Chris and Sam hit a very rocky patch this week, and a new clip revealed something they may never be able to come back from.
Unseen footage aired on the fifth episode of MAFS: After The Dinner Party, which you can stream now on Stan, rubbed salt in the wound as Sam watched Chris mock his financial and living situation in an on-camera interview.
MAFS’ Chris mocks Sam in unseen footage
After they failed to find common ground in front of the group at the Dinner Party, Chris let it all out in an interview alongside Gia, which had not been seen until now.
“Sam, you just lost the best thing that ever f—ing happened to you,” Chris said.
“I stuck it out in this experiment for five and a half weeks, I dealt with your f—ing shit, and I apologised five times for something that I didn’t even need to apologise for.”

Chris then made snide comments about Sam’s money and living arrangements.
“You share accommodation with three other people and you don’t pay for dinner. I’ve paid for every single f—ing dinner,” he said.
Gia also shared her opinion.
“If you’re successful, why are you living in shared accommodation with multiple people?” she said.
“And he was all about coupons too,” Chris added, as Gia laughed.

After watching that, co-host Brittany Hockley noted Sam looked “really sad”.
He called the interview “bullshit”, saying that he would pay for groceries while Chris paid for meals out and that he lived with his best friend.
Co-host Jules Lund wondered if Chris’ “nastiness” was a defence mechanism.
“I just think Chris can’t be wrong. He can’t be called out for his behaviour,” Sam said.
“I think what hurts about this whole thing is we were at a highlight. We’d just started being intimate and right now, I just don’t think Chris understands how things hurt me or how they make me feel at all.”

After seeing the clip, it was clearer than ever to Sam that they were not on the same page.

That wasn’t the only drama discussed: A series of unaired conversations revealed Gia’s masterminding of the screenshot scandal and Stella and Scott unpacked why his wife was so offended by the Feedback Week tasks.
