A ‘beautiful and kind’ mother-of-three has tragically died, prompting her tight-knit community to rally around her grieving husband and children.

Young mum Lauren Hutchinson is understood to have died unexpectedly, leaving friends and family stunned.

On Monday, friend Elyse Flaherty launched a GoFundMe page to support her husband Linken and their three young children.

The fundraiser has already raised nearly $140,000.

‘She was a deeply loved wife, mum, sister, daughter and friend – the heart of her family – and her loss has left an immeasurable gap,’ Ms Flaherty wrote.

‘As they grieve, the family is now facing the weight of immediate funeral expenses alongside the ongoing costs of daily life, all while navigating this season of profound loss.

‘Our hope is that this practical support will give the family space to grieve, heal, and care for one another without the added pressure of financial stress.’

The Behaviour Support Practitioner was well-loved within her local church community and was known for her kindness in supporting people with additional needs.

Ms Hutchinson had been working as a school counsellor and case manager since 2010, looking after young people with a range of mental health issues, including ADHD, autism and intellectual disabilities.

Australian UFC featherweight champion Alexander ‘The Great’ Volkanovski shared the link to the fundraiser and asked his followers to donate if they could.

‘You won’t find better human beings than the Hutchinsons, I’ve known them my whole life and care for them very much,’ he said.

‘They would never be the type of people to ask for help, so we will ask for them.’

Locals were quick to react to Mrs Hutchinson’s sudden passing.

‘The Illawarra has been rocked by this… a beautiful kind soul is no longer here,’ one person commented on the post.

Another said: ‘RIP beautiful angel.’

‘A devout Christian family. Lauren passed recently and leaves behind three beautiful children and a husband and father who have had their faith tested,’ another said.

‘But who stand firm in their beliefs.’
