Prince William’s former secondary school, Eton College, is tightening its security ahead of a potential new arrival, according to reports.
Prince George, 12, will be starting secondary school this September. His current place of education, Lambrook School, only allows students up to Year 8.
The Mail on Sunday reported that specific rooms at Eton College are being upgraded with enhanced protective measures, should the young royal decide to attend the prestigious Berkshire institution later this year.
The future king will complete his studies at Lambrook School, also attended by Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, in July.

The eldest child of the Prince and Princess of Wales would become the latest member of the Royal Family to attend the renowned boys’ boarding school, which caters to pupils aged 13 to 18.
No decision has yet been announced by Kensington Palace.
The annual fees at Eton stand at approximately £63,000, placing it among Britain’s most exclusive educational establishments.
Prince William enrolled at the college in 1995, departing from the path taken by his father, King Charles, who had attended Gordonstoun in Scotland.

However, the Spencer family connection to Eton runs deep, with Princess Diana’s father and brother both having studied there.
Prince Harry also followed his elder brother to the Berkshire school.
During William’s time as a pupil, press access was heavily restricted, with the future king largely shielded from media intrusion throughout his years at the institution.
Whilst Eton appears to be the frontrunner, it is understood that Marlborough College in Wiltshire, where the Princess of Wales was educated, remains under consideration.

Likely, the Prince and Princess of Wales will only confirm Prince George’s next place of education shortly before the school term commences.
Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven, will continue their education at Lambrook School for two and five years, respectively.
Catherine and William enrolled their three children at Lambrook in September 2022, one month after moving to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.
The family-of-five previously lived in Kensington Palace, where George and Charlotte attended Thomas’s School in Battersea.

This is also where Charlotte began her education in 2018.
George attended the Westacre Montessori School Nursery in Norfolk, as the Waleses resided full-time in their countryside residence, Anmer Hall, between 2015 and 2017.
