Man found stabbed to death in Waterford West as police charge another man with murder, declare multiple crime scenes.

A man was allegedly stabbed in the chest while helping a friend move from a house in Logan, south of Brisbane.

Another man has since been charged with murder.

Police said the 39-year-old victim was found seriously injured in a carpark near a medical centre on Chambers Flat Rd in the Logan suburb of Waterford West about 6.30pm on Monday.

Paramedics assessed the man for life-threatening injuries but he could not be saved, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said.

Police superintendent Peter Miles said the man was helping a friend move out of a property in nearby Logan Reserve and was at the house to help collect some of his friend’s belongings when he was allegedly stabbed once in the chest.

Miles said it is believed other friends then drove him to the Waterford West carpark, possibly to seek medical attention at the medical centre.

Miles confirmed at least five crime scenes had been declared — in three cars, at a home in Logan Reserve and the carpark — as investigations into the circumstances of the man’s death continue.

On Tuesday morning police said a 33-year-old man was assisting with the investigation but Miles later confirmed this man had now been charged with murder. He is expected before Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Miles said multiple witnesses observed the alleged attack, with police still collecting CCTV and other witness statements.

The men are believed to be known to each other and shared mutual friends, he said.
