ollowing the record-breaking rollout of its recent seasons, Clarkson’s Farm series six is now slated for a summer 2027 release. The fly-on-the-wall series documents the steep learning curve of former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson as he manages his Diddly Squat estate.
While the fifth instalment of the series is launching on Prime Video this June, planning documents submitted to West Oxfordshire District Council for a variance in conditions at the Diddly Squat farm shop have revealed that the sixth run will soon be in production.
It follows an unpredictable filming schedule for Jeremy, 66, who revealed in his Sunday Times column in February that production had been briefly suspended due to poor weather.
The programme, which first aired in 2021, brings to light problems which British farmers face and the costs of running a farm.

In 2023, a planning dispute between the TV star and the council over the use of land adjacent to the shop for additional car parking was resolved when a planning inspector granted permission for its use for three years.
Now Jeremy is seeking an extension until 2030 for the operation of the site and use of the adjacent land for car parking due to the popularity of the farm shop and further commissions of his show.
Next season already in motion
“At the time of the appeal the second series had just aired and it was renewed for a third series,” wrote a planning consultant on behalf of the former Top Gear presenter.

“The three-year time limit was chosen on the basis that if the third series was the final one, then two years of monitoring after airing was sufficient to assess demand. It is currently renewed for the fifth series which is yet to air.”
They added: “In light of the continued popularity of the site and associated television programme, we are requesting a further extension of the limited period consents for the use and associated development to provide car parking.
“The inspector clearly identified that the association with a popular current television programme is a unique circumstance which generates a time-limited demand.

“The rationale is clear – at such time as the television programme no longer airs then demand may reduce and the parking required for the operation of the farm shop can be assessed and appropriate provision made.
“Given series five is yet to air we are requesting a new time limit is imposed ending on December 31 2030. Season five will air this year and season six has been commissioned and will air in summer 2027. Three further years to monitor and review thereafter seems appropriate.”
The planning application will be determined at a later date.
Inside Jeremy’s Diddly Squat farming journey
Jeremy bought the then Curdle Hill Farm, which sits within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, nearly 20 years ago.
After deciding to run the farm himself in 2019, he renamed it the Diddly Squat Farm over its lack of productivity.

He then opened a restaurant on the site – allegedly without planning permission – but it was later shut down by West Oxfordshire District Council.
Two years ago, Clarkson opened the Farmers’ Dog pub, formerly known as The Windmill, at Asthall, near Burford, which sells produce grown or reared by British farmers.
