A mystery film described as a classic that stands the test of time is currently available to watch on Netflix, but subscribers must be quick, as it won’t be on the streaming platform for much longer. Ghost, directed by Jerry Zucker and written by Bruce Joel Rubin, stars big names including Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, and Tony Goldwyn.
The synopsis on Rotten Tomatoes reads: “Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze) is a banker, Molly Jensen (Demi Moore) is an artist, and the two are madly in love. However, when Sam is murdered by friend and corrupt business partner Carl Bruner (Tony Goldwyn) over a shady business deal, he is left to roam the earth as a powerless spirit
“When he learns of Carl’s betrayal, Sam must seek the help of psychic Oda Mae Brown (Whoopi Goldberg) to set things right and protect Molly from Carl and his goons.”
The 1990 film has an 80% score on the film review website, with numerous positive reviews from critics and fans.
One fan, who described it as an “underrated gem” said that the film is a “combination of a great concept with career best performances from Goldberg and Swayze” that made it a “worthy modern classic”.
In fact, the film classic was repeated throughout the thousands of reviews.
