The Fox News personality said he recently underwent eye surgery and plans to be back on air soon.
“Hey fam! I want to assure y’all that I’m doing well,” Jones wrote on X.
“I recently underwent eye surgery and will be returning to work soon,” he added.
Jones said he is not sharing everything yet, writing, “I’ll share the details of my experience with you all in the future.”
He also posted: “God is truly remarkable.”
Jones credited his network for supporting him through the ordeal.
“Fox has been incredibly supportive throughout this process, ensuring that I receive the best possible care,” he wrote.
Jones closed with “See y’all soon.”
Fans quickly responded with relief, and well wishes.
One wrote: “Thanks for letting us know. You’ve been missed. Get well soon”
Another added, “Prayers heading your way my friend.”
“Get well soon LJ!!” another fan added.
One supporter said, “Godspeed, Lawrence. You’re the man”
Others admitted they had been searching for answers while he was off-air.
“Everyday my husband and I kept saying, ‘Where’s Lawrence?’
And I would look online and couldn’t anything. So glad I came across this post but more importantly, I’m glad you’re going to be okay. Signed, Your Texas Fans!” said a fan.
Jones became a permanent Fox & Friends co-host in 2023, and Fox News said at the time he was the youngest Black co-host in cable news.
Jones is also known for “man-on-the-street” reporting and chasing stories he says don’t get enough attention.
Before joining Fox News, he was editor-in-chief of Campus Reform, hosted a radio show on TheBlaze Radio Network, and served as a contributing host for TheBlaze TV, Fox News said.
Fox said the Garland, Texas native studied criminal justice at the University of North Texas and has been named to Red Alert’s “30 Under 30” list and Newsmax’s “30 Most Influential Republicans Under 30.”
In a 2023 Resident magazine profile, Jones said, “I never dreamed of being on TV; my goal was to become a lawyer… I fell into TV news and never looked back,” adding that his criminal justice background has helped him cover crime and other national issues.
He previously hosted Lawrence Jones Cross Country before joining the weekday Fox & Friends desk.
