The two brothers of Bondi hero Ahmed Al Ahmed have been ordered to stay away from him after they allegedly verbally threatened him over the phone.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command started investigating on May 11.

The two brothers were later arrested after attending Bankstown Police Station.

Hozifa Al Ahmed and Sameh Al Ahmed were both charged with using carriage service to menace/harass/offend and granted conditional bail.

Ahmed Al Ahmed became a household name when footage of the Bondi Beach terror attack in December showed him creeping up behind one of the gunmen and wrestling a long-barrelled firearm from them.

He was shot multiple times after the altercation and required multiple surgeries.

A fundraiser created to support the 43-year-old in the wake of the attack raised $2.6 million in donations from around the world.

The two men faced Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday and entered pleas of not guilty.

They were both issued with interim apprehended domestic violence orders to protect Mr Ahmed.
