Celeb Traitors star Miranda Hart reveals castle ‘dare’ she’ll carry out on screen after all-star line-up is unveiled

CELEBRITY Traitors star Miranda Hart has confirmed that she’ll carry out a ‘dare’ in the upcoming series, as filming for season two kicks off.

The BBC star and comedian was unveiled as one of 21 celebrities who will be heading to the castle to record the hit reality show.

Miranda finds herself in good company at Ardross Castle with her co-stars including Michael Sheen, Ross Kemp, Hannah Fry, Joanna McNally, Amol Rajan, James Acaster and Richard E. Grant.

They will be joined by Bella Ramsey, James Blunt, Jerry Hall, Joe Lycett, Julie Hesmondhalgh and King Kenny.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock is also on the line-up alongside Maya Jama, Myha’la, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, Sebastian Croft and Sharon Rooney.

Following the cast announcement, the 53-year-old took to social media to break her silence following the news.

In one grab, the sitcom star was seen taking the mickey out of her misspelled name in the show trailer.

On a DIY paper place card, she crossed out the ‘e’ in Miranda Heart and wrote ‘rude’ with an arrow.

She then re-shared a fan request to her Instagram Stories, confirming that she’d carry out the ‘dare’ when in the castle.

“Miranda Hart being on the new season for Celebrity Traitors has made my day,” they began.’

“Please can she gallop throughout the castle!?! @realmirandahart,” she then requested, tagging the comedian.

The star replied: “I now see that as a dare.”

Fans will have to wait a few months to see if Miranda keeps to her promise.

The first Celeb Traitors hit screens last year and proved to be an instant success for the BBC, with a staggering 7.1 million viewers tuning in.

TV presenter Jonathan Ross, musician Cat Burns and comedian Alan Carr were made the three traitors – with the latter going on to win the show in a tense finale.
