The pregnant dancer headed home to Australia to spend Christmas with her family following the end of the BBC One dance show

Dianne Buswell has been flooded with the same messages from excited fans as she was seen feeling the rays on her blossoming baby bump after ditching the UK.

The Strictly Come Dancing star wasted no time in heading home to Australia to spend Christmas with her family following the end of the BBC One dance show’s 2025 series back on December 20. It marks Dianne’s last festive season before she and her boyfriend, Joe Sugg, become first-time parents having announced their pregnancy joy back in September.

The couple, who met on Strictly in 2018 and made it to the competition’s final before being beaten by fellow lovebirds Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton, shared their happy news in an adorable announcement video on social media, in which the parents-to-be could be seen in a clip standing behind a wooden easel with paint and paintbrushes as they got to work on their masterpiece.

The playful clip, set to the iconic Elton John track, Tiny Dancer, then saw the couple painting, before they turned the canvas around to reveal three stick figures – one of Dianne, one of Joe and a baby in the middle of them. They then captioned their post: “Our little baby boy [heart emoji]. We cannot wait to meet you.”

Dianne discovered her pregnancy amid hitting the road alongside Strictly co-star and friend Vito Coppola in their joint-headline show, Red Hot and Ready. She then later returned to the popular programme’s pro line-up, partnering Australian actor Stefan Dennis before his unfortunate withdrawal from the competition due to injury.

Now, Dianne is enjoying time with her family in Australia ahead of her and Joe welcoming their own little one into the world. She has has shared several updates including a video of Joe reading to her nephew, and a Christmas message from the whole family.

In one video, shared on Christmas Eve, the whole family can be seen smiling and laughing away to get a group picture, and Dianne has written: “Merry Christmas from us. Sending love and peace across the globe.” And on Christmas Day, she shared a carousel of images from her “precious time” spent in Australia with her family.

Now, she’s shared a video in which she could be seen baring her blossoming baby bump as she walked across the golden sand with the sea swishing alongside her. She captioning the clip with audio which hears a voice say: “I think the next plot twist is that things are about to get really good.

” I think this world is going to open up for you in unimaginable ways. I think you’re walking into your best chapter yet. And finally, you’re going to see where all of this has been leading.” Dianne also wrote: “2026,” with a red heart across the video.

And the comments quickly came flooding in, with many sharing their excitement over Dianne’s next chapter. @x_.mill._xx said: “So excited for this new chapter for you! You’re glowing Di and whenever he arrives he’ll be gorgeous just like you and Joe.” @zoe_richardson_13 commented; “This will be your best year yet! Cannot wait to watch you enter this new era of life it’s going to be beautiful to watch. Baby boy is so lucky to have you as his mummy.”
