Meghan Markle’s mum Doria Ragland was seen out at a star-studded event last week, however her daughter was nowhere in sight. Doria, 69, was one of the many guests to attend the Raising Eyebrows book launch with Anastasia Soare and Oprah last week in LA.

Wearing a long black skirt and a red blouse, Doria was all smiles at the event, where she joined many of Meghan’s friends. This included Oprah Winfrey and Jamie Kern Lima. The Duchess of Sussex’s mum posed for photographs throughout the night, with many noticing just how close she seems to be to Oprah.

Royal fans were also quick to express their joy at seeing Doria, who does not often appear at such public star-studded events.

It is not known why Meghan Markle herself was not at the event.

Taking to X to speak about Doria’s appearance at the event, one X user wrote: “Awwww this warms my heart, I love seeing Mama Doria. She’s such a gracious peaceful gorgeous lady!”

Another said: “Megan Markle’s mother is beautiful!”

Someone else wrote: “It’s so good to see Meghan’s mother, Doria! She looks fab in red.”

Doria is believed to be very close to her daughter Meghan, which may explain her closeness to her friends.

On Sunday, Meghan’s mum was also spotted in the duchess’ recent Instagram video.

She could be seen carving pumpkins at the sprawling Montecito estate Meghan shares with husband Prince Harry and their two children Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.
