Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly been “snubbed” from Hollywood as A-listers are “worried about their intentions”. Sky News host Danica De Giorgio spoke to Andrew Eborn after the Daily Mail reported that Oprah Winfrey feels “tarnished” by her 2021 interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and George and Amal Clooney don’t “want anything to do with them”.

Discussing the reports, Danica referenced the Clooneys attended Harry and Meghan’s wedding as she said: “Now to the non-royals, we’ve got to end on Mr and Mrs Grifter, my two favourites, Meghan and Harry. Andrew, I’m not surprised, to be honest, that the circle of friends are trying to move away, because I just feel like everything Harry and Meghan do, it’s all about brand Harry and Meghan, it’s, it’s never about everybody else, but what’s your take on this?”

Andrew replied: “I think the Sussexes have been snubbed and indeed shunned, you’re absolutely right, a lot of people are coming out, and the worry is this is that Meghan is now making sure you can click on her clothes and you can buy that very same dress and she’ll get a kickback from it, and people are worried that it’s about transactional relationships.

“The reason she’s mixing with these A-listers, and they love to be surrounded by A-listers, is because they can financially benefit as a result of it,” but added that he had been told by Meghan’s Suits co-star Abigail Spencer that Meghan was “lovely”.

He continued: “We don’t normally hear that in that sort of side. You hear the positive side from Abigail, but a lot of these people now in the public eye, they’re very worried about their own brand.”

“You talked about the Oprah interview, and lots of people sort of turned around, and it was the fawning sort of side, and it wasn’t that sort of we ask the questions but also question those answers in a deep, penetrating way. It was a wonderful free ride,” as he said he felt their standing in Hollywood was “cooling”.

Danica replied: “Oh, well, it wouldn’t surprise me, honestly, it just seems like they live in this Montecito bubble, all about them, and everything else is falling outside of them.”
