A British period drama is getting a lot of attention right now, with viewers saying it’s one of the best films available to watch on Netflix. It stars Florence Pugh as an English nurse sent to a rural Irish village to observe a young girl who is said to have survived without eating.
The cast also includes Tom Burke, Niamh Algar, Elaine Cassidy, Ciarán Hinds and Toby Jones.
The story is set shortly after the Great Famine and explores the beliefs and tensions within the local community.
The film first premiered at the Telluride Film Festival before receiving a limited cinema release in November 2022.
It was then made available to stream on Netflix later that month and is still available to watch on the platform today.
