Fans have rallied behind a Married At First Sight Australia couple who have made their union official, despite never being partnered together on the programme.

The 13th instalment of the popular reality series is currently captivating UK audiences, as the surviving couples edge towards their ultimate declarations. The format sees complete strangers meeting at the altar for the first time, and naturally, it’s packed with dramatic moments.

Off-camera, two previous participants have revealed they’ve genuinely married, though they weren’t originally matched during their stint on Married At First Sight.

Audiences will recall Jacqui Burfoot from the previous series of MAFS Australia, who was initially partnered with Ryan Donnelly. Following a turbulent run, the pair chose to go their separate ways after a heated final vows exchange.

Jacqui subsequently surprised her social media followers by revealing she’d discovered romance with Clint Rice, who had originally been matched with Lauren Hall on the programme, reports OK!

When first confirming their relationship, Jacqui shared on Instagram: “Surprise! Yes we are officially together!! Here are snippets of what you missed over the past 5 months before mafs aired!”

She continued: “We had our first date in November 2024 and I never left Tassie – we have been travelling around NZ and in Tassie In between filming and airing!” Following their engagement announcement in April 2025, the couple have now made things official, revealing their joyful news via Instagram.

In a shared post, they unveiled a beautiful snapshot from their special day, captioning it: “Married, 20 April 2026 [heart emoji].”

Reports from nine.com suggest the ceremony took place with breathtaking views of the South Island’s picturesque Lake Wakatipu.

One well-wisher posted: “Congratulations to you both stay blessed.” Someone else commented: “You look absolutely beautiful, congratulations to the both of you.”

Jacqui and Clint revealed their engagement last April during the broadcast of their reunion episode. During an intimate moment, Clint dropped to one knee to propose, leaving audiences astonished.

One follower had previously posted on Instagram: “Ignore the haters, Jackie(I’m sure you do already). You both seem so happy, and at the end of the day, that’s all that matters!”

Another had written: “You do look happy together so I wish you well! I didn’t like how you came across on mafs… but I’m trying to be kind and non judgemental, as I believe all is not as it seems, especially where media is concerned. Take care.” A third viewer wrote: “Genuinely love these two together.”

Jacqui has previously taken to social media to discuss their relationship, captioning her posts: “Unhinged and totally unnecessary” alongside a series of photographs.
