Sarah Ferguson may have spent the last 17 years living with her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor at Royal Lodge in Windsor, but this will not be the case for much longer. Ever since King Charles asked his brother to leave the 30-room mansion; it has been made clear that no provisions will be made for Sarah’s next home.
While many may have assumed she would simply move with Andrew to the monarch’s private Sandringham Estate, this will not be the case. Instead, Sarah, 66, will make her own housing arrangements.
Although it has been rumoured that her housing situation will be aided by her daughters, with some reports suggesting she could set up home with Princess Beatrice in the Cotswolds or Princess Eugenie in Portugal, this is not believed to be the case.
Instead, the former Duchess is reportedly looking for a new home in Windsor.
This was revealed to The Times by a friend who said Sarah is looking forward to a life away from Andrew, who she divorced in 1996, with her desire being to “stay in the UK” and preferably “within the Windsor area”.
A source told The Times: “She wants to stay in the UK, ideally in the Windsor area, and she wants to have her own base so that she can live independently and continue to pursue many things as Sarah Ferguson.”

While Sarah has not commented on the reason why she will no longer be living with Andrew, it is believed she wants a fresh start.
This was revealed by her friend Lizzie Cundy weeks ago when news of Andrew and Sarah’s eviction from Royal Lodge was first announced after the pair had both faced scandals surrounding their past associations with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Appearing on Channel 5’s Vanessa show, Ms Cundy said: “She doesn’t want to live with Andrew. Now she (Sarah) wants to draw the line and hopefully move on from this.”
