The series has been labelled as ‘mind bending’ as some say it should be watched more than once
A ‘mind bending’ thriller that devotees confess can be devoured in merely a single weekend is presently available on Netflix.
Among the streaming platform’s most recent additions to its vast catalogue, all episodes of Dispatches From Elsewhere have been made accessible to subscribers.
The programme comprises 10 episodes and was developed by actor Jason Segel, recognised for How I Met Your Mother, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Shrinking.
He also features in the programme, alongside Sally Field, Richard E. Grant, André Benjamin, and Eve Lindley.
According to its synopsis, the narrative follows four ordinary individuals, Peter, Simone, Janice, and Fredwynn, who are united by chance after they all respond to a flyer.

Sensing that something is absent from their lives, the characters are lured into a game that develops through a serpentine sequence of events, transporting them from parades to shareholders’ meetings.
As they assemble the puzzle to discover a path forward, they begin to explore a perplexing mystery concealed just beneath the veneer of everyday existence and their eyes are opened to a world of possibility, whimsy and wonder, reports the Mirror.
Initially broadcast back in 2020, all episodes are now available on Netflix. Those lacking a subscription needn’t fret excessively though, as it is also accessible at no additional cost through ITVX, although viewers will have to watch with advertisements.
Whilst comprising just a single season and Segel having subsequently pursued other ventures, he hasn’t dismissed the possibility of revisiting Dispatches from Elsewhere, potentially transforming it into an anthology format.

Others said they could not stop watching (Image: AMC)
Critics received it positively during its debut, whilst others have continued championing the programme, describing it as ‘mind bending’ and arguing it deserves to be ‘rediscovered’.
Throughout the years, an increasing number of enthusiasts have joined the chorus recommending the series. Nevertheless, some caution that the programme’s distinctive style and methodology might not suit every audience member.
As one individual posted: “I don’t think this is a show for everyone, however I found it invoked a wonder I haven’t felt in many years. A delicately, skilfully told story. Definitely worth a look.”
Whilst another claimed: “What an incredible show! Definitely will be a repeat watch. Until the end you don’t really understand that it’s truly you. Then you have to go back and see where you were the whole time. Just watch. You’ll get it!”.
But someone else stated: “Amazing and eye-opening. Wildly creative and you can’t stop watching.”
