Jack Osbourne Reveals He Broke a Big 'I'm A Celebrity' Rule

‘I did a sneaky,’ joked Ozzy Osbourne’s son.

Jack Osbourne, 40, secretly broke a huge rule while he was in Australia for Season 25 of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in late 2025, and fans are loving the surprising behind-the-scenes information.

“When I got to Australia, what they do is they go, ‘Okay, you can make your phone calls on the way from the airport to the hotel,’ and once you get to the hotel, you have to hand over your phone and your computer and everything,” Ozzy Osbourne’s son explained on his Trying Not to Die podcast on Dec. 30.

However, his wife Aree Gearhart was already pregnant with their second child together (his fifth overall), and he wanted to have open lines of communication with her for as long as possible, so he got creative.

“I knew that they would do this. So I handed them a burner phone,” he told his cohost, Ryan Drexler. “My real phone, I kept with me. I handed them my laptop and a burner phone. I was like, ‘There you go!’”

Osbourne admitted he thought up the plan ahead of time because, to him, the rule “didn’t make sense.” “I’m going to be there for three, four days before I go into the jungle. Why can’t I talk to my family?” he asked.

He said that he had no intention of cheating, he really just wanted to be able to speak to his partner. “They don’t want people who are potentially gonna be campmates communicating with each other once it’s released via social media or whatever,” he explained. “I wasn’t going to reach out to anyone. I just wanted to be able to talk to my wife and kids. So, I did a sneaky.”

When it was time to go into the jungle for the British survival show, he simply left his phone in his luggage, and production took it from him.

Fans were surprised to hear he broke the rules… but not that surprised. “Wouldn’t be an Osbourne if he didn’t break some sort of rule,” said one commenter on Instagram, while another added, “Jackquaman breaking the rules from day one!” A third said, “I don’t blame you. You have young kids and a pregnant wife!”

Osbourne announced he was expecting baby No. 5 shortly after his eviction from the show, telling The Sun on Sunday, “We’re super-excited. It was sort of planned, I should say. It was maybe a little earlier than expected. But it’s definitely something that we were wanting to pursue and somehow it happened, miraculously.”

They were able to share the happy news with Ozzy before his death in July at age 76, and they’re expecting their baby in March 2026.
