Love Island viewers left cringing over contestant’s awkward comment

“I’m tired.”

Love Island viewers faced more drama in this Wednesday’s (3 June) episode as bombshells Yasmin and George made a game-changing decision that sent one boy and one girl packing from the villa.

The pair were handed a secret task shortly after their arrival in Mallorca, with just 24 hours to decide which islanders should be dumped. Unbeknownst to the rest of the cast, Yasmin and George spent their first hours on Love Island getting to know their fellow contestants while privately weighing up who deserved to stay and who should leave.

But the looming elimination wasn’t the only source of tension. During Wednesday’s episode, George continued to explore his romantic potential with Robyn, before spending some time with Mica. However, one comment on Mica’s bandana – which he branded as “exotic” – sent viewers online over the edge.

Over on X, one fan commented: “A girl that wears a bandana is too exotic, I am tired.” A second chimed in: “GEORGE IS MAD bandana is too exotic. Im glad samraj ended that nonsense THERE.” Another watcher echoed: “BANDANA??? EXOTIC?????? I KNOW what that one is, this is like the third slip.”

Samraj quickly interrupted the exchange to have a moment with Mica. However, faced with Mica and George once again later on, Samraj took the opportunity to explore his own connection with Jasmine, whose relationship with Lorenzo appears far from settled.

Lorenzo found himself under pressure once again after a difficult start to his relationship with Jasmine. Following a tense exchange on Tuesday (2 June), Lorenzo attempted to repair the damage by preparing Jasmine a vegan breakfast and reassuring her that he wants to spend more time with her.

Still, Jasmine was determined to question him about his connection with Yasmin, leading to Lorenzo admitting he still wanted to continue getting to know both girls, potentially setting up another awkward conversation between the pair. And Yasmin wasn’t done exploring her options.

Although she previously revealed her interest in several boys, her attention appeared focused on both Aidan and Ope. After sharing a flirty conversation with Aidan, to Ellie’s frustration as she tried to figure out where she stood with Aidan, Yasmin pulled Ope for a chat and made it clear she’s still interested in him. Yasmin’s budding connections looked like it could influence her choice for the elimination and spell trouble for Lorenzo.

But there could be conflict in the air between Yasmin and Angelista. This Wednesday, Angelista appeared increasingly confident about where she stood with Ope. During a candid conversation, she admitted he was the only boy in the villa she was interested in, while Ope reassured her that she’s his priority – could Yasmin flip everything on its head?

Later, fans were left reeling when Yasmin and George selectedEllie and Samraj to leave the villa. But there was another twist ahead. As Ellie and Samraj walked out of the villa, they received a text informing them that second chances were coming, hinting at the possibility that the pair may not be leaving Love Island for good. Could we see them come back for Casa Amor?
