Gemma Collins goes full ‘GI Jane’ after I’m A Celeb exit as she addresses David Haye feud after shock axe

GEMMA COLLINS declared herself “G.I. Jane” as she last night left I’m A Celebrity triumphant – despite being the third star to be voted out.

That’s because the reality star has redeemed herself by lasting nine days on set – three times longer than her previous record of three in 2014.

But she is thrilled to get home to her two dishwashers, thrice-weekly cleaner and nightly pampering sessions.

Gemma was kicked out of camp by ousted player David Haye, who named her when asked to pick a pal to leave with him.

The GC said: “All good things have to come to an end, but all I can say is it has been so amazing being able to relive it again.

“I’m proud of myself, for sure – I got redemption for myself and I didn’t say no to anything.

“I got on and did it.

“It definitely wasn’t easy at times, but I’m really proud of myself for sure.

“The first time I was in there, experiences happened beyond my control, so I wasn’t really going in there with the right mindset.

“This time, I went in there all guns blazing. It’s been like a weird sort of holiday, but a lovely one.

“David and I had a beef at first, but he actually saved me in the end.

“I felt like I’d done what I wanted to do and I could see the others wanted it that little bit more. I was like, ‘If no one wants to go, I’ll go.’

“I’ve won in my eyes. I got the opportunity again, I did the trials and I didn’t say no to anything.”

After Ant and Dec waved her out of camp, she declared: “I’m going back as G.I. Jane, I’m going back – yeah, baby.”

Gemma also opened up about camp life, which saw her take on chores. She said: “I’d never washed up so much in my life!

“I’m very fortunate, I’ve got two dishwashers at home and I have a cleaner three times a week. This camp certainly brings you back down to earth with a bang.

“I’m very lucky, I do have a few luxuries in life. I missed having a bath and putting all my lotions and potions on at night.

“I also missed my magnesium; I always spray it on the soles of my feet before I sleep.

“One thing I missed was just getting up in the morning, the moment you get out of bed, and feeling that soft carpet beneath your feet.

“And water . . . I am so appreciative of water.”

Gemma did her fair share of trials – including a savage eating challenge on her first night in South Africa.

She faced creepy crawlies on a spooky train as well as crocodiles in an underwater trial.

Gemma said: “At one point, I really did feel the producers were trying to kill me.

“I walked in and thought we were going to have a cocktail, so when I turned that corner and it was a trial, I just thought, this is do or die.

“I ate the pigs’ testicles, which made me a game player again. As a reward, I got to go to Savannah Scrub camp, which, I’m sorry, was absolutely shocking.”

But she added: “It was great to see Craig and Jimmy again and, to spend that time with them once more has just been priceless.

“Plus, meeting new camp- mates and forming new bonds, listening to everyone’s stories. I’ve had a blast.”
