Filming for the new series is once again taking place at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, and is thought to already be underway.

From a major Hollywood star to a soap legend and a hilarious comedian, the castle is set to be jam packed.

A whopping 21 celebrities will be heading for the castle including Michael Sheen, Ross Kemp, Hannah Fry, Joanna McNally, Amol Rajan, James Acaster and Richard E. Grant.

They will be joined by Bella Ramsey, James Blunt, Jerry Hall, Joe Lycett, Julie Hesmondhalgh and King Kenny.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock is also on the line-up alongside Maya Jama, Miranda Hart, Myha’la, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, Sebastian Croft and Sharon Rooney.

Let’s take a closer look at who is heading for the roundtable.

Michael Sheen

After we revealed in March that Michael Sheen had signed up to play the ultimate game of deceit, the Hollywood actor has been confirmed for the show.

Famed for portraying real-life roles on screen such as former PM Tony Blair, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, and Emperor Nero, the actor is no stranger to getting into character.

But this time around, it will all fall on his own personality to get through the cut-throat journey.

Back in March, a source said of his decision: “Michael has had a lot of practice playing lying, duplicitous and scheming men — the Traitors should be a breeze.

“He is very much seen as a ‘big dog’ signing. Behind the scenes, everyone is hugely excited.

“Michael is a massive fan of the show so it makes total sense that he would want to be a part of it.”

Maya Jama

Love Island queen Maya is about to play the game of a lifetime after signing up to the show.

She is swapping the villa for the Scottish castle for potentially her biggest TV gig yet.

And she will no doubt be hoping to put her best fashion foot forward with some iconic looks.

Ross Kemp

While Ross Kemp shocked fans when he made his epic comeback to EastEnders last month, he has managed to keep his upcoming castle stint under wraps.

As well as his soap role as Grant Mitchell, Ross is known for his hard-hitting documentaries, which have seen him at the centre of warzones, prisons and many more dangerous situations.

If he can survive life behind bars, Ross will surely be kitted out for some time in that castle…

Miranda Hart

If Miranda manages to take her fellow players all the way to the top – she would become the second comedy winner after last year’s champ Alan Carr.

Contestants will need to make sure their stories are ultra-straight as they come face-to-face with Dr Hannah Fry at the roundtable.

The science and technology expert is known for making a string of shows for the BBC, including The Secret Genius Of Modern Life.

Not one to let anything slip past her, the Cambridge graduate and mum-of-two is also a math whizz who was previously a professor at University College London.

The Sun revealed earlier this week that Dr. Hannah had been secured for the show, which could see it’s most academic cast yet.

A source told us: “Dr Fry very much ticks the ‘academic’ box filled last year on the show by Dr David Olusoga, who of course made it to the final.

“She isn’t just a brainbox, however, she has a great personality and already has a loyal band of followers thanks to her BBC shows.

“It’s fair to say there are going to be some very clever people taking part this year.”

While appearing on the My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast with pal Vogue Williams, the comedian spoke about an upcoming job she was doing.

Whilst she didn’t name Celebrity Traitors, fans were quick to read between the lines.

“I have a job coming up that I’m not allowed to have a phone on,” said Joanne on the podcast.

“And I’m so stressed about it. Now, I want to do the job, obviously, but the idea of not having a phone…”

Formerly the media editor of BBC News, he has been a presenter on the Today programme on BBC Radio 4 since 2021 and is known for hosting University Challenge.

Earlier this year, a source said of Amol’s addition to the roster: “Getting Amol is a massive coup. He is used to holding the country’s sharpest minds to account and spotting a lie from a mile away on the Today programme.

“Producers know he won’t be easily fooled by his fellow celebrities. He has the perfect poker face and the academic brains to go all the way, whether Claudia taps him on the shoulder to be a Traitor or leaves him as a Faithful.”

The insider added: “Amol is a huge fan of the show and couldn’t resist the chance to take part. Viewers are going to see a completely different, much more ruthless side to him.”
