Carrie Underwood has revealed a recent frightening encounter on her Nashville-area farm that forced her to temporarily flee her own orchard.

The country music star, 42, shared the alarming update on social media while enjoying a break from music and television work.

Carrie has been spending downtime at her 400-acre Tennessee ranch with her family. Known for embracing a quieter, self-sufficient lifestyle, she’s been growing vegetables and fruits on the property. Recently, she proudly posted updates about harvesting squash, tomatoes, pickles, and a large haul of blueberries.

However, farm life took a turn when Carrie found herself surrounded by thousands of bees. She documented the encounter in a video posted to her Instagram story, showing the swarm overtaking the orchard.

“Had to get out of the orchard when the bees started swarming…” she wrote in a caption, explaining why she had to leave the area quickly.

In a follow-up post, Carrie included a photo of a massive bee nest that had formed directly on one of her blueberry bushes. “They landed on a blueberry bush…maybe we can catch them tomorrow if they’re still there,” she added.

It’s unclear whether the bees were eventually removed or if Carrie plans to take further action, but the incident clearly left her rattled enough to leave the orchard behind for the time being.

This bee scare comes shortly after Carrie reflected emotionally on her career journey during a segment on American Idol. The singer first rose to fame after winning Season 4 of the show back in 2005. Now, nearly two decades later, she is a judge on the panel.

In a clip shared by the American Idol official Instagram account, Carrie got visibly emotional while recalling how her career started.

“I think about my journey on American Idol all the time, because it’s so grand, it’s so unbelievable,” she said, holding back tears.

She continued: “To go from somebody who was going to school, trying to figure out what she wanted to do with the rest of her life.”

Carrie explained that her decision to audition for American Idol was made on a whim: “If I hadn’t made that one decision in my life, my life would be completely different.”

“So it’s just a blessed journey I’ve been on,” she said in conclusion.
