MAFS Australia viewers have begged for producers to make a major change 10 years into the reality series.
E4 is currently airing the 13th season of the dating experiment, following hopeful singles from across Australia who have opted to marry total strangers.
Fans were introduced to late arrivals Tyson Gordon and Stephanie Marshall this week, and the groom has already sparked backlash.
In his introductory interview, the 30-year-old made it clear that he doesn’t want a “woke” woman.
He said: “A woman with green hair. That’s the first red flag. A woman that’s a complete feminist. Hates men. A woman that hates Donald Trump….A lot of these woke people I’ve met aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed.”

Tyson didn’t hold back his opinions even after he got married. Instead, the groom has repeatedly called out his wife for being too “masculine” because she is career-driven.
It’s worth noting that Stephanie appeared to have a similar “anti-woke” worldview to Tyson before they met, but even she has criticised his behaviour.
Speaking after their wedding, she confessed: “It’s giving manosphere.” The phrase ‘manosphere’ refers to a corner of the internet that aims to help men lead successful lives, but often promotes negative stereotypes about women.

After just two episodes on the show, viewers have slammed Tyson’s controversial beliefs, gathering on Reddit to call for a change.
A fed-up fan posted: “No more red-pill cast members please.” The term ‘red pill’ is used to describe a community of men who believe in traditional gender roles, which are often explicitly sexist.
The post continued: “Is anyone else actually exhausted? After watching Tyson’s “interrogation” of Stephanie in e15, I’m done. The body count obsession, the “logical” (i.e. delusional) ego, the deep-seated fragility masked as superiority… triggering to watch.
“It’s not “good TV” or “spicy drama” it’s just irresponsible of production to give these guys a platform….Can we please ban this archetype for Season 14?”
Almost 300 viewers agreed with the post, with 96 commenting their own takes.

Fans have called for controversial contestants to be banned from the show (

However, others were quick to defend the show, pointing out that MAFS is supposed to be an accurate reflection of the dating world. This means some contestants won’t hold popular beliefs, but they should still be represented.
A fan argued: “But the reality is these men exist in the dating world (unfortunately) so having them represented on this relationship reality show is topical.
“The experts are obviously going to call him out on his bull***t. And showing people dismantling this red pill ideology is important.”
Married at First Sight Australia continues on E4 on Monday (April 6) at 7.30pm
The 32-year-old further spoke out against her husband when he was unhappy that she has slept with 20 people, despite the fact that he has slept with 30 women.
